Rompetrol Bulgaria, company specialized in the distribution of fuel and petroleum products, and part of The Rompetrol Group (TRG), has been active on the Bulgarian market since 2002. Rompetrol Bulgaria has managed to expand rapidly on the domestic market, gaining a significant market share on wholesale and developing its network of 55 gas stations at a national level, and a modern fuel depot in the city of Rousse.
On March 22, 2010, Rompetrol Bulgaria started offering a new series of fuels on the Bulgarian market, Efix, specifically designed to protect the engine and to improve its performance. The fuels are offered at the price of regular gasoline 95 and diesel. The strategy behind the introduction of the two new fuels Efix Diesel and Efix Gasoline 95 is to continue delivering high-quality products at an attractive price. Both fuels are available in all 55 gas stations of the company in the country.
Besides Bulgaria, The Rompetrol Group has retail operations in four other European countries: Romania, France, Republic of Moldova, Georgia and Spain, with a network of almost 1.100 fueling stations. Through this network, TRG distributes high quality fuels and petroleum products, such as the Efix fuel lines and the premium Alto fuel line, Alto 55 diesel and Alto 101 gasoline, created to maximize the performances of your car. Efix is available in Romania (starting from 2007), Bulgaria (2010) and Republic of Moldova (2008), while Alto is offered in Romania and Republic and Moldova.
Over the past years, The Rompetrol Group has grown into a multinational company, with operations in 12 countries and an annual turnover in 2009 of over 7 billion USD; with over 9.600 employees all over the world, working in the Group’s primary fields of refining, petrochemicals, retail and marketing; with a total invested amount of over 1.1 billion USD since 2001 and by the end of 2009. At the time being, The Rompetrol Group is owned entirely by the Kazakh national company, KazMunaiGaz.
The Joint Stock Company KazMunaiGaz, the national operator for the exploration, mining, refining and transport of oil resources, represents the interests of the State in the oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan. 100% of the shares of KazMunaiGaz are owned by the Kazakhstan Holding for the Management of State Assets “Samruk” JSC.
