“Rompetrol Bulgaria” Jsc has been present in Bulgaria since 2002 and is a subsidiary of the KMG International Group. The company has an active network of 58 petrol stations throughout the country and offers its customers in Bulgaria quality fuels according to European standards, produced in the Petromidia refinery. The company is looking for active development in the coming years, including expansion of the network and continuous improvement of service quality.

 

With more than 6,000 employees, KMG International is an important player in the Black Sea region and the Mediterranean with activities in 11 major markets. The group is owned by KazMunayGas, the national oil and gas company of Kazakhstan. “Rompetrol” is the core brand of KMG International following the 2014 renaming of Rompetrol Group N.V. to “KMG International” as part of the strategy to integrate all activities under the KazMunayGas umbrella.

 

“KMG International owns and operates Petromidia, the largest Romanian refinery and one of the most modern refineries in the Black Sea region, with a refining capacity of 5 million tonnes per year. This strategic location on the Black Sea coast allows for optimal distribution of oil products.

 

“Vega”, the second refinery owned by the Group, has over 110 years of history. It has evolved from a classic refining plant to a producer and supplier of specialty products made from semi-finished products supplied by Petromidia. The operations of the two refineries are thus integrated to produce high value-added products.

 

The Rompetrol brand is representative for refining and petrochemical activities, distribution in Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria and Georgia, as well as in terms of oil production. Through KMG Trading AG, a company located in Switzerland, the Group has significant trading operations in oil and petroleum products in the Black Sea and Mediterranean region.

 

In this way, Rompetrol has become an independent source of energy – from the extraction and production of crude oil, through refining and transformation, to the high-quality products offered in our service stations with modern design and attention to the smallest detail.

 

In 2010, Rompetrol Bulgaria launched a new range of fuels on the Bulgarian market – Efix, specifically designed to protect the engine and improve its performance. The strategy behind the introduction of the two new fuels Efix Diesel and Efix Gasoline 95 is to continue providing high quality products at an attractive price. Both fuels are available at all of the company’s 58 service stations nationwide.
