BPGA signed the Sofia Declaration on Energy Security and Competitiveness alongside associations from Greece, Romania, Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia

The Bulgarian Petroleum and Gas Association, together with partner associations from Greece, Romania, Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia, signed the Sofia Declaration on Energy Security and Competitiveness in Central and Eastern Europe.

The signing was the main highlight of the conference “Energy Alliance in Central and Eastern Europe Initiative”, organized by BPGA on October 8, 2026, in Sofia, under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy.

The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Industry Alexander Pulev, and the Minister of Energy Iva Petrova, to whom the signed declaration was presented.

The document expresses the shared will of the associations for closer regional cooperation in support of secure energy supplies and the competitiveness of economies in Central and Eastern Europe.
